Baptism is an amazing and significant event in the life of a Christian.  Through baptism we tell the story of how God came down to earth in the form of Jesus Christ to suffer and die for our sins.  He was buried.  Three days later he conquered death and came back to life.  Because of this great act of love, we can freely come to God and humbly accept his love and forgive and receive eternal life.  Baptism also signifies our death to our old self and our new life in Christ Jesus.  

In this single act, we proclaim Christ’s death and resurrection and our own testimony of God has changed us by giving us a new life.

“…all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.”  Romans 6.3-4
